Please note straw is preferred not to be used as bedding in stables.
DIY LIVERY – this package is for those that have the time for your horse/pony everyday. You provide any feeding your horse/pony will need. If you can not see to your horse/pony for any reason e.g., holidays, sicknesses etc, then we do provide a service for a small fee per day which is shown in the table below:

PART LIVERY – With this package you may not be able to see to your Horse/Pony everyday, or maybe just not in the mornings/nights. The times that you would need us to do your Horse/Pony would be discussed and decided between us. We will do your horse up to five times in the week eg Monday – Friday morning turnout. You provide all feeding your horse requires.

FULL LIVERY – With this package we take care of your horse 24/7 and supply haylage/hay when required in the stable and out in the field/hardstanding. We supply your horse/pony with our hard feeding, and paper bedding bedding. This incs a daily light brushing and feet picked out.

There is hard standing in the winter months. This will also be used in the summer months if there is a lot of rain fall to ensure the parks stay in good grazing condition. Everyone will participate in manure picking during the summer months unless you are on Full Livery. All fencing is electrified and water is provided in all fields and hard standing.
EXTRA SERVICES – these Inc clipping, horse training, exercising your horse, plaiting and many more! These all come at a small fee, please inquire if you need any of these services.
FARRIER EXTRA – For a small extra fee I can take care of all your Horse/Pony farrier needs. I will organise and hold onto your Horse/Pony with the farrier and whilst the farrier is here. This means that you will not have to take time off work etc and will actually save you money!
WORMING – All Horse/Ponies will be on a worming program here at Brakes Stables. This will be organised and added to your bill when required.
INSURANCE – ALL Horses/Ponies and Riders MUST have adequate insurance cover. We will need a copy of this at the time of your application. Brakes Stables will NOT be liable for any Horse/Pony/Person on the premises.
HAYLAGE – Brakes can supply your Horse/Pony of haylage at a fee. The fee may change from year to year depending on the cost of cutting the haylage. Please enquire if you are interested. Our haylage is ragwort free. Full Livery clients have Haylage inc in the price.
OUTDOOR ARENA – Charges are on an hourly rate, not per person/horse. All Livery Tenants have use of the arena at no charge. All dropping MUST be picked up after use of the arena. The arena MUST be left in the condition you found it in. All jumps MUST be placed back in the appropriate area. This will help us maintain the arena and the equipment, plus making it easier for everyone to use. The only instructor allowed to teach at Brakes in the arena, is Susie Nicolson BHSAI.
